Tilte of the Talk When Milliseconds Drive Millions: Designing Real-Time AI Systems for High-Stakes Platforms

Abstract:

In high-stakes digital platforms, milliseconds can directly influence revenue, conversion rates, and overall user experience. This talk presents real-world lessons from designing and operating real-time AI systems in production environments where latency, scale, and reliability are critical. Drawing from experience in building large-scale travel and airline platforms, it explores how intelligent decision-making systems must evolve beyond traditional batch processing to support continuous, event-driven workflows.

The session covers architectural patterns for enabling real-time responsiveness, including event-driven pipelines, asynchronous processing, and distributed system design principles that ensure low latency under heavy load. It also discusses challenges such as handling partial failures, maintaining data consistency, and optimizing system performance across multiple external integrations.

In addition, the talk highlights how AI-driven decision systems, such as fare optimization and dynamic pricing, operate under strict time constraints while processing large volumes of data. Attendees will gain insights into balancing model accuracy with system responsiveness, as well as designing resilient systems that can adapt to unpredictable traffic patterns.

This keynote aims to bridge theory and practice by providing actionable strategies for engineers and architects building scalable, real-time AI systems in production environments where every millisecond counts.
